Chinese Hospital Gellert Health Services (GHS) celebrated its 10th anniversary with a health fair on August 22, 2026, bringing the community together for a day focused on health and wellness.
Held at GHS, 386 Gellert Boulevard in Daly City, the free event welcomed over 200 community members and featured health screenings, including glucose, bone density, and hepatitis B screenings, as well as health education, hands-on CPR demonstrations, community resources, and family-friendly activities. Pfizer served as the Gold Sponsor of the 10th Anniversary Health Fair, supporting the event’s efforts to promote health and wellness in the community.
The celebration marked a decade since GHS first opened in 2016. Established through a $1.3 million investment in community healthcare, GHS was created to expand access to convenient, comprehensive, culturally and linguistically responsive healthcare for Daly City and communities throughout Northern San Mateo County.
“For 10 years, Gellert Health Services has been proud to serve the community and provide access to quality, comprehensive, and culturally responsive healthcare,” said Michael Chung, CEO of Chinese Hospital. “This milestone belongs to our dedicated physicians and staff, our community partners, and most importantly, the patients and families who have placed their trust in us.”
Over the past decade, GHS has significantly expanded its range of healthcare services. In addition to primary care, GHS offers specialties including behavioral health, pediatrics, endocrinology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and ear, nose and throat (ENT). GHS also provides diagnostic and laboratory services, pharmacy services, optometry, and East West Health Services, including acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, bringing a broad range of healthcare services together in one convenient location.
The celebration also included recognition of GHS’s contributions to the health and well-being of the community. Daly City Councilmember Juslyn Manalo, the Office of Congressman Kevin Mullin, and the Office of Assemblymember Catherine Stefani presented Gellert Health Services with certificates of recognition honoring its 10th anniversary and service to Daly City and Northern San Mateo County. Reflecting on the milestone, Manalo said:

As Gellert Health Services enters its second decade, Chinese Hospital remains committed to strengthening its services and partnerships and supporting healthier communities across Daly City and Northern San Mateo County.
